This page explains how booking and payment works for Drams Scotland's private, bespoke tours.  Our aim is to keep information clear and transparent, so you know exactly what to expect and can plan with confidence.

What's Included in Your Tour Cost

Every Drams Scotland tour is private and bespoke.  Your tour price is quoted for your private group, not per person, and reflects the time, expertise and care required to design, organise and host your tour.

Your tour cost includes:

Expert planning and curation

We take the time to understand what excites you about Scotland, including our whisky, then craft a thoughtfully paced itinerary for your private group - from must-see distilleries to stunning scenery, history, castles, dining and culture.

 

Whisky experience research, organisation and booking

We curate a schedule of whisky experiences specific to your group, recommending distillery visits and tastings that suit your dates and level of interest.  We discuss options with you well in advance, highlight costs clearly,  and organise distillery visits on your behalf, from iconic names to smaller, characterful producers.  We handle the co-ordination and booking process, highlighting costs clearly - making the process straightforward and considered every time.​

Private guiding and professional driving throughout

We personally host and drive your tour, allowing everyone in your group to enjoy tastings safely and fully, without concern for logistics or getting behind the wheel.

Local knowledge and flexible hosting

From refining plans as your tour approaches to adapting days on the road, and sharing insight into Scotland's whisky regions, landscapes and culture, we're there to help ensure everything runs smoothly. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

What's Not Included in Your Tour Cost

Distillery tours, tastings & whisky experiences

While we organise and co-ordinate these experiences for you, the costs are paid directly by guests.  This approach gives you full transparency and control over this element of your budget, whether you prefer rare high-end tastings, or more informal visits.

Accommodation and evening meals 

We source the best available accommodation along your agreed route, tailored to your preferences and style.  For evening meals, we make reservations on your behalf, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience each night.  Accommodation and meals are paid for directly by guests, allowing you to retail full control over your choices and budget.

Personal expenses

Any personal purchases, sightseeing entry fees or activities.

Deposits and Balance Payments

A 50% deposit of the tour cost is required to confirm your booking and secure your tour dates.​

​

Because every tour is individually designed and privately hosted, we commit our time and availability exclusively to your dates.  Once confirmed, we're unable to accept other enquiries that overlap with your tour, which is why deposits are non-refundable. 

​

Please note that our tours are private and bespoke, and availability is limited. Deposits are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and we often book well in advance.  Confirming your dates early ensures we can secure your preferred dates and itinerary. 

​

The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 28 days before your tour begins.  If your tour is booked within 28 days of the start date, the full balance will be payable at the time of booking. 

 

We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance on booking, to protect against any unforeseen changes to travel plans.

How You'll Pay

Once your itinerary, dates and pricing have been agreed, we'll issue a personalised e-invoice directly to you.  The invoice will clearly outline payments due, payment timing and instructions for payment by bank card or bank transfer.  All payments are quoted and paid in British Pounds (£ GBP).

Your personalised e-invoice will arrive once everything is agreed - no payment is taken on this page. 

Cancellation & Liability

Deposits are non-returnable. Remaining balances are due 28 days before your tour. 

 

Because each tour is completely bespoke and privately hosted, your dates are reserved exclusively for your group.  Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements, personal belongings and health and safety. 

 

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected changes.
